how to automate weekly teleconference reminders

Hi, please tell me whether this is not the right forum, but I'm trying
to figure out a way to schedule weekly teleconference reminders
through Microsoft Exchange. We currently use outlook to schedule
teleconferences with other employees, vendors, etc., and lately people
have been asking whether they can receive an email once a week
reminding them of their teleconferences rather than receiving an
individual email reminder for each event. Is there a way within
Exchange to configure this, or a product on the market that can do
this sort of thing? Thanks!

Hello,

I don't know of any products, but Exchange does not have this functionality
out of the box.

You would have to code something.

How are you scheduling the conferences? Do you create an appointment for
each conference and invite the persons required for the conference?

Best regards,

Thanks for your post. You're right, we were going to invite people
based on an event/conference we schedule in the Outlook calendar. But
instead of sending an email reminder right away, we'd like to send out
one email weekly or on some other regular occurance that would inform
them of all of the events planned for the week that they would be
involved with it. So it's possible to code it?

Hello,

you could create the meeting programatically. This way you would have to
send the meeting request yourself anyway. You could then create a summary
mail with the specification of all meetings.

But the user wouldn't get the meetings as calendar entries...
