Get total number of items in a user's mailbox (EWS)

Is there an easy way to query a user's mailbox in EWS to find the total
number of items in all folders. I prefer not to loop thru all the folders
and get a count of items in each if I can prevent it.

I don't know about E2010, but in E2007 there doesn't seem to be a Deep
traversal with FindItem. So, I guess the answer is No.
