i have an excnage 2k3 server and when i send out an email to anyone and view
the headers it shows the following;

Received: by server.domain.local
id <***@server.domain.local>; Wed, 27 Jun


how can i prevent it from showing this info. I beleive this is a security
risk. I want it to say mail.domain.com

any suggestions

Naw, not a security risk.
You'll need 3rd party software to mask that.
2007 can do that natively I believe

If you are using Exchange 2007 you can set transport rule to delete header
Received with your server name in it. For Exchange 2003 you need third party
tool.
