I am not that familiar with Exchange Server 2003 and out IT consultant is not
available so I hope someone out there can help me.

How do I set-up a mailbox on our server for receiving and sending mail from
an external source. We want to be able to monitor a mailbox with an outside
internet provider (www.charter.net). We want one person in our organization
to monitor this outside mailbox and want the mail to come to a separate inbox
other than her internal inbox. I set the mailbox up on her personal computer
using Outlook 2003 but the messages are not separate from her other inbox
messages, so I'm thinking I need to set it up on the Exchange Server???

have you tried to logon to that mailbox and give her delegate access rights
to the inbox. Then get her to open that mailbox in addition to her own in
Outlook?

There are two ways you can seperate the email from the external account:-

1. You can setup another profile in Outlook 2003 for the user with the
configuration of the external email settings. This way however would mean
you would have to log out and log in again to the next profile to access the
internal mails. OR

2. You can setup the configuration in the existing profile as you have it
in Outlook but make another folder and configure rules to move mail received
from the external account to that particular folder.
